*Opening Ceremony:
This year's opening ceremony begins with a Pagan blessing from the Urglaawe tradition - which is an ancestral spiritual path with roots in Northern Europe.
The end of April marks our time of honouring the dead, and preparing for the time of winter. Called Samhain ("Summer's End") by the Celts, and Allelieweziel ("Celebration of All Love") by adherents of Urglaawer, we will specifically be honouring the deities Wudan (Odin/Wodan - god of wisdom, the Wild Hunt, poetry, magic and the runes), Holle (goddess of magic, wisdom, winter, the home, and the ancestors) and Holler/Die Ewige Jagter (god of nature, the forests, animals and winter).
Those participating in the ritual are asked to please bring 1 apple as an offering

NOTE: This is a fund-raising event, with portions of the proceeds going the Sanctuary of Light Spiritualist Centre as well as the South African Pagan Council (SAPC) for continued work in advocating for religious equality in South Africa
