Prayer Candles

Uses: Give power and focus to spiritual work & prayer.

Information: Each Candle has its own significant meaning, depending on the colours used:

• White - lit first to honour God (The Divine, Universe, Great Spirit), who is our first ancestor. Cleansing, clearing, healing, peace & general (all-purpose) work.
• Red - protection, strength, power, potency, passion, lust & fire magic. Light it when you are asking Spirit to fight on your behalf, and connecting to warrior spirits/ancestors.
• Yellow - attraction, mental clarity, concentration, focus, new beginnings, energy, courage, confidence, vitality & air magic. Light it when you are calling upon angels, spirit guides, saints and ancestors who are not blood-related.
• Green - money, abundance, prosperity, health, healing, growth, fertility, luck & earth magick. Light it when connecting to ancestral grandmothers and great-grand mothers.
• Blue - peace, calming, cooling, healing, flow, ease, transformation & water magic. Light it when calling upon the aid of water spirits, and to connect to grandfathers and great-grandfathers. 
• Purple - spiritual connection, expansion, good fortune, psychic abilities, enhancing dreams, intuition & religious magic. Light it to connect to the arch-angels. 
• Pink - love, friendship, to sweeten, calm anger, heal the heart & enhancing hope. Light it to sweeten a situation, and as a way to send blessings to the spirits.

Directions (basic candle magic):

• Carve your desire (even 1 or 2 words) into the candle using a toothpick, small pin or similar sharp tool.
• Use with an oil that matches your intention.
• Place a few drops of oil onto your hands.
• Rub your hands while praying for your desired outcome.
• Anoint the candle by rubbing the oil onto the candle (rub the oil from bottom to top if you want to bring something towards you; rub the oil from top to bottom if you desire to push things away from you).
• While you are anointing the candle with oil, pray and see your desire already manifest - as if it has already happened! See it, feel it & believe it.
• Light the candle. Stay focused on your desired outcome. The feeling is important. You must feel in your heart like your wish has already been achieved. Try and see/feel it in as much detail as you can.
• You may continue to burn the candle for 3, 7 or 9 days depending on the spiritual working you are doing.

Ingredients: Candle wax.

Contraindications: Do not leave flame unattended or within reach of animals/children.
