Ganesh is the remover of obstacles, and Divine Opener of the Roads.

Lord Ganapati (one of his many names) loves bringing blessings to the home - especially the kitchen (he adores nice food), study (as the patron god of wisdom), and meditation space. 

His image is placed where new houses are to be built; he is honoured at the start of a journey or business venture, and poets traditionally invoke him at the start of a book.

Light a candle, offer some incense, flowers and sweets, placing them near his statue/symbol, and may Lord Ganesha bless you!
